Later in the story shows that her views fully changed as she got older. She went from not listening to other’s ideas to not listening to her family’s ideas and beliefs. Chen said, “Today, Megan and Grace’s only connection to Westboro is virtual. Although Phelps-Roper no longer believes that the Bible is the word of God, she still reads it to try and find scriptural arguments that could  encourage Westboro to take a more humane approach to the world. Sometimes she’ll tweet passages, knowing that church members will see them.” This change from before shows that after getting different perspectives, she is on the other side. When she was young, she trusted everything her family told her and would argue for why her family was correct. She would tell people they should also have the same beliefs because she thought they were correct. Now, she looks for why the church is wrong and will argue for why they should change what they do.
